The VOICETRUST Enterprise Suite
Obviously, it is easier for the user to remember only a single password for all systems and applications. Different passwords may create a complexity which can become a heavy burden for users – tempting them to write down their passwords and thus causing a major security risk.
On the other hand, the one-and-only password for all purposes gains in importance in a Single Sign-On environment (SSO). If this important password falls into the wrong hands, an unauthorized person can access a variety of classified information all at once.
VOICETRUST satisfies the demand for both convenience and security. Without investing in additional hardware, you will be able to integrate Single Sign-On per voice into your IT architecture.
- The SSO client asks for the user ID (e.g. his staff ID) and the internal phone extension from the user’s current desk.
- The VOICETRUST server calls the user. Then the user has to repeat the user ID and say one or more randomly selected words from a list of pre-recorded words.
- The VOICETRUST server compares the voice sample with the stored voice profile and verifies the identity of the user.
- The result of this verification is forwarded to the SSO Server.
